In an effort to provide easier access to healthcare, RiverStone Health, Yellowstone County’s Health Department, now has a 40-foot mobile health clinic to provide healthcare services to local schools, and even the outlying communities around Billings.
In an interview with KGHL Radio, the President and CEO of RiverStone Health, Jonathan Forte describes the launch of the new mobile vehicle, and the type of health services it will bring.
RiverStone calls it: “Healthcare that meets you where you are”, emphasizing that their Wellness On Wheels mobile unit will bring high-quality, compassionate primary healthcare to a location that is convenient for you.
Services that could be provided by RiverStone Health’s “Wellness on Wheels” mobile clinic include:
- Check-ups
- Immunizations
- School and sports physicals
- Well-child checks and adolescent check-ups
- Urgent care – sore throats, colds, fevers
- Wound care
- Care for chronic illnesses like diabetes & asthma
- Limited lab tests
- Dental education
- Referrals for behavioral health services
- Referrals to community resources
- Assistance with health insurance options
