The Bobcats hung on to beat Stony Brook Saturday night 16-10 to move on to round 3 and a rematch with Sam Houston State. The Cats defense dominated the game holding Stony Brook to only one long touchdown drive. Rory Perez kicked three field goals which provided the margin of victory.
The Bobcats move on to play the nation's 5th ranked team, Sam Houston State. The Bearkats knocked the Bobcats out of last year's playoffs 49-13 in Texas. The game will be in Bozeman either Friday or Saturday Friday December 7 at 5pm of next week. This will be the 6th meeting between the two schools.
Sam Houston State is ranked 2nd in the nation in points scored averaging more than 42 per game.
