Montana State Bobcats finished off a nearly perfect regular season with a win over the Griz Saturday afternoon in Missoula. The Cats seized control of the game after a pair of missed field goals by the Griz and went on to capture a share of the Big Sky Conference title for the third consecutive year.
The Cats drew an at large berth in the FCS playoffs. That means the team will get a bye for the first weekend of action and await the winner of the Stony Brook/Villanova game.
All three Big Sky teams in this years playoffs are in the same half of the 20 team bracket. Eastern Washington, who got the Big Sky automatic bid as conference champion, is the number two seed. Cal Poly, who also claimed a portion of the Big Sky title, meets last year's national runner up Sam Houston State on December 1.
